Anacapri Foods, like many family owned and operated businesses, started with humble beginnings. In 1975, Luigi Gasparro began distributing pizza products with one truck out of a two car garage in the back of his pizzeria. Through hard work and dedication, by 1977 Anacapri Foods moved into its first 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in Linden, NJ.
Unfortunately, in 1980 Luigi tragically passed away and his son Jerry, who was only 18 years old at the time, took control of the family business. Jerry, familiar with the business since his early adolescence, assumed the responsibility of continuing his father’s tradition of hard work and dedication . Through years of perseverance, Anacapri outgrew its 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse and in 1996, moved into our current 100,000 sq. ft. distribution facility in Cranford, NJ.
In 2011, Anacapri Foods became a 3rd Generation family business when Jerry’s son, Louis, joined the company after graduating from Fordham University. Louis, like his father before him had spent his summers and vacations at Anacapri Foods learning the value of hard work and dedication, the principles of which his Nonno Luigi founded the company.
Now in 2017, 42 years after the company was founded, Anacapri proudly employs over 100 people, operates over 25 trucks and has expanded its facility to over 130,000 sq. ft. With our company's exponential growth, we still strive to provide the same service and care to our customers as we did at our inception.
